Plimoth Plantation is pleased to announce the reprinting of the surviving fragment of Governor William Bradford’s Letter Book. Covering the years 1624 to 1630, these letters and other documents provide invaluable information about the early years of Plymouth Colony. Governor Bradford kept both the letters of his numerous correspondents and his replies, probably in a series of continuously paged books. This small fragment, starting on page 339, includes letters from James Shirley on behalf of their London business partners; the Pilgrims’ agent, Robert Cushman; Roger White from Leyden, and John Endicott and others from Massachusetts Bay Colony.
