7" Sgraffito Plate

7" Sgraffito Plate

$ 39.95

These reproduction 17th-century earthenware plates are coated with slip then carved so darker clay beneath shows through. When the piece is glazed and fired the decorative carvings appear on the surface. Perfect as decorative pieces, they are also food safe and make excellent serving pieces. Handmade by a member of our Interpretative Artisans Program in the Crafts Center here at Plimoth Patuxet. Sold individually, each plate is unique - please allow us to choose one for you.

lovely

These plates are so charming -- the unique designs are beautiful, and it's wonderful to have something handmade by the artists at Plimoth. They are of exuberant design, but I find they match with pretty much anything, and add a lot to the table. Thank you!
