Plimoth Grist Mill Counted Cross Stitch Kit

Plimoth Grist Mill Counted Cross Stitch Kit

$ 17.99

The Plimoth Grist Mill is a reconstruction of the original grist mill built over Town Brook in 1636 by the John Jenney family for the "grinding of corn," which at the time was a major colonial crop. But corn could not be used for baking until it was ground into flour, making such grist mills very important fixtures in any town. The mill was operated until it burned down in 1837. It was rebuilt in 1970.

Finished size 6" by 6½" on 14 count Charles Craft fabric. Kit includes material, DMC floss, needle, instructions, and color photograph of finished project. Designed by Barbara Bangser for The Posy Collection.
