Born of a need for a gun that could fire multiple projectiles from a single powder charge, the blunderbuss became the weapon of choice for short-range encounters with the miscreants of the 17th and 18th centuries. Stagecoach guards, mariners and ordinary householders appreciated the awesome effect of a blunderbuss blast -- provided they were on the right end of the weapon! In this non-firing replica of an English piece, the barrel and lock are ornately detailed to showcase the talents of the gun maker. Made in Spain.
