17th-Century Metal Scissors

17th-Century Metal Scissors

$ 3.25

The first scissors ever produced date as far back as 2000 BC. In the 17th century, they were used for cutting cloth for garments, and for aiding in the creation of the delicate cutwork and embroidery that was so popular at the time. Most 17th-century scissors were made of iron and would have been completely hand forged and assembled.

Our version, although of modern construct, approximates the look and size of these early scissors.

  • Materials: Hardened Alloy Steel
  • Fine point and sharp cutting edge
  • Large finger loops

Available in small (4"), medium (6"), and large (8")
