He found new purpose in a movement that revived values of the first christians and defied State religion. He played a leading role in planning the group's escape to the Netherlands. Finally, he led the great adventure of the Mayflower voyage. For more than 20 years, he helped build the colony of Plymouth.Pilgrim is the story of one man's life. It is also the story of the world that he knew--a world of physical danger, radical social change and adventures of the human spirit.

This was a gift for my grandson, named William Brewster. He just found out this summer he's a descendant, thought it might make an interesting Christmas gift from his Grandmother, me.
