Bradford Spoon

Bradford Spoon

$ 42.00

This pewter spoon is a replica of a mid-1700s spoon owned by a descendant of Governor William Bradford. The trifed (three pointed) handle features a mayflower design - a tribute to the ship that carried the Pilgrims to the shores of Patuxet in 1620. It has a rat-tail on the back of the bowl with scalloped design surrounding it.

This spoon and the original "Bradford Spoon" are nearly identical, differing only in the superior quality of the pewter used here and the maker's touchmark L on the back. Each of these beautiful "modern antiques" is individually hand-cast and finished.
