Crown Top Spoon - Pewter
Crowns have been used for hundreds of years during the coronation ceremonies of Kings and Queens of Britain and Europe. Almost all Royal crowns are made from precious metals, normally gold and many are encrusted with jewels including diamonds, rubies, pearls, emeralds and sapphires.
Many crowns can be traced back in history, such as the British Imperial Crown of State that includes a sapphire owned by Edward the Confessor, a ruby worn by Henry V at the Battle of Agincourt and by Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth, pearls worn by Elizabeth I and an enormous diamond given to Edward VII.
This spoon is made from pewter and is supplied in a clear acetate box with a colorful information card.
