Medieval Quill Pen

Medieval Quill Pen

$ 4.99

The writing quill pen came into use in the seventh century. It was the main writing instrument until the introduction of metallic pens and pen nibs that took over in the 1800's. Some of the best quill pens were made from the flight feathers of geese. The word pen comes from the Latin word 'Penna' which means feather.

This real feather quill comes with a biro nib. It measures approximately 12" long and is supplied in one of six colors, which may vary on availability. It is packed in a clear polythene bag with a full color information card, describing the quill pen and its use in Medieval times.
