This limited edition heart was lovingly carved by hand in Massachusetts from planks that were removed from the Mayflower II during the restoration process. The bits of pine tar, scratches and nicks are part of what makes this object so special. It is a heart that has weathered many a storm and survived, a heart full of hope that beats with the promise of freedom and a better life.

Mayflower II Wooden Heart Ornament

I saw these for sale last year in Plymouth. I bought the earrings and beads but I think my husband thought the heart was too expensive and I didn't need it. Of course I didn't need it, but I loved it and very cool knowing it was made from wood of the Mayflower II. All these months later I was still thinking of the heart, so I ordered it. I just opened the package yesterday and I just love this heart! As a descendant of several Mayflower passengers, I'm honored to have a little piece of the Mayflower II. I will pass this down in my family.
