Dutch Pipkin

The pipkin is a small cooking pot, that can be used in traditional open hearth cooking, or used in a modern oven. The three legs stabilize the pot and keep it from extreme direct heat. Our pipkin is also great for serving small snacks or dips, or use it on the table for gravies or sauces. Handmade by a member of our Interpretative Artisans Program in the Crafts Center here at Plimoth Patuxet, each is slightly different.
