Gurnet Light Scrimshaw Magnet
Gurnet Light, also known as Plymouth Light, was built in 1768 overlooking Plymouth Bay. Plymouth Light Station was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
This magnet is hand-made by scrimshaw artist Bill Feeney, in his Massachusetts studio. In order to keep this traditional American folk art alive while reducing harm to our ecosystem, Bill uses a proprietary resin product, called eco-ivory, for his artwork. No animal products are used.
