Custom-made exclusively for Plimoth Patuxet Museums, each pen is hand turned by a local craftsman using English White Oak salvaged from the restoration of Mayflower II.

The wood in these pens has weathered many storms for well over 100 years. Transformed from ancient trees into the hull and decks of the iconic vessel, and now to handmade pens, these are the perfect gift for the sailor in your life or anyone who loves American history, or wooden sailing ships; or has an interest in the story of the Pilgrims and the Mayflower.

Cigar Pen — Available with chrome or gold accents, this handsome pen is perfect for those who prefer a larger, heftier writing instrument. This pen uses a Parker style refill.

Nautical Pen — An ode to old sailing ships, this pen features a captivating scene engraved on tip of a grand tall ship, while the end is embellished with the captain's wheel and compass. Nautical rope accents can be found throughout and encircling the detailed anchor clip which, given its history, is considered a symbol of well-grounded hope. The authentic patina of the antique pewter pairs perfectly with the White Oak of Mayflower II, making this pen a piece of history sure to be treasured for generations. This pen uses a Parker style refill.

Sierra Twist Pen — Sophisticated black and gold compliment the White Oak in this classy pen. The pen is designed to be well-balanced and comfortable to hold, resulting in a relaxing writing experience with smooth, beautiful results. This pen uses a Parker style refill.

Trimline Pen — Available with chrome or gold accents, Mayflower II's White Oak takes center stage in this simple yet elegant pen. It's clean lines and slim design offer a comfortable writing experience. This pen uses a Cross style refill.

Beautiful craftsmanship

I am so glad I ordered the pewter nautical pen. It's gorgeous and has a beautiful weight. It's a lovely keepsake of Mayflower 2 and I love that it's something I can use everyday and take it with me wherever I go!

Refills at Amazon but if you'd prefer then by all means shop around. The following fits and works great : Ballpoint Pen Refills with Spring for Penneed B5/B6/B8 Pen, Parker Waterman Compatible Ballpoint Pen Refills Twist Action Medium Point.
It's heavy, robust design and construction hopefully means years of service. I use mine at work. and bought a box of refills with the actuating spring included with each cartridge. I've given some thought to oiling the wood (just in case) haven't made up my mind about the best oil to use, still looking. It's a bit spendy, but IT'S MAYFLOWER, WHITE OAK!

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful and informative review! We are so glad to hear you’re enjoying using your Mayflower II Wood Pen. We have some information that we hope will be useful to you in regard to oils. The white oak in the pen is finished with a proprietary mixture of oil and shellac. The shellac seals the surface of the wood and creates a hard finish that should last years under everyday use. Oil will not penetrate the wood, and actually may only serve to dull the finish. As such, we would not recommend oiling the wood.
