Coal Pot

Used to warm beds before retiring for the night and at church to keep toes warm, these coal pots were filled with ashes from the family hearth. Handmade by a member of our Interpretative Artisans Program in the Crafts Center here at Plimoth Patuxet, each is slightly different and vary in shape. Available in redware.
